Ohio State withstood an injury to star quarterback JT Barrett and rallied to defeat MI 31-20 on Saturday in Ann Arbor.
Barrett was just 3-of-8 for 30 yards and a touchdown when he was forced to leave the action midway through the third quarter after aggravating an injury to to the meniscus in his left knee. The Potomac, MD native completed 6-of-7 passes for 94 yards, also managing 24 yards on the ground despite a reputation as a more pocket-oriented passer than Barrett.
Dwayne Haskins replaced Barrett in the game, and later led a touchdown drive.
After being treated in the locker room, Barrett returned the sideline wearing a warm-up jacket and without his helmet on. With blockers clearing the initial path, Barrett hustled down the Ohio State sideline for the touchdown.
With Michigan's coverage taking away the passing lanes on third-and-nine, Barrett took the shotgun snap and rushed around right end.
And just like that, "The Game" was tied at 14 all.
