Major League Soccer is expected to announce its plan to grant Nashville an expansion franchise on Wednesday. Why can't MLS to Miami be put on hold and an extra team be added in this round of expansion so Sacramento, Cincinnati and Nashville will all join in 2019?
Nashville already has two major league sports franchises - the Tennessee Titans of the NFL and the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL).

There have been several pro indoor soccer teams in the area over the past few decades, too.
Both cities remained optimistic that they will be picked as the second expansion team and won't have to fall back into the pack and compete for the 27th and 28th MLS teams selected at a time not yet known.
