"If the government feels it is very important, it should first talk to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Muslim women organisations", he said.
The delegation headed by BJP Minority Morcha's Vice President Soni Tabasum and Nusrat met Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das in Ranchi yesterday.
"Without prejudice to the generality of the provisions contained in any other law for the time being in force, a married Muslim woman upon whom talaq is pronounced, shall be entitled to receive from her husband such amount of subsistence allowance for her and dependent children as may be determined by the Magistrate", says the draft bill.
"In other religions women have right to place their side and have legal protection, but to deny the muslim women the same rights goes against the principle of equality and hence triple talaq can not be justified", said Naik.
There is also a provision of imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and fine for violators.

Prediction: Leicester City vs Manchester United
Nonetheless, they have not kept a clean sheet away from Old Trafford since October so Leicester could profit from that. We are not the only ones. "If we don't have, it's finished, but until last match of the season we have work to do".
"The board had suggested that members of the community should refrain from doing so (pronouncing the instant triple talaq)", Rahmani said.
The proposed triple talaq bill, however, directly gives power to police officers to conduct an investigation without bringing it to the notice of the magistrate. Now it is up to the court to direct the police as to whether they should investigate the matter.
The rationale underlying such restrictions when it comes to offences relating to marriage is that the world at large should not be allowed to prosecute an errant husband, especially when the aggrieved wife has no desire to see him punished. "If they wanted to be represented, they should have done so before it", ANI quoted as she saying. Cleared by the Indian cabinet last week, the Bill is expected to be introduced by the government in parliament next week. It is also an attempt to interfere with the Muslim personal law. "It is highly objectionable that the Centre did not consult the AIMPLB, any Muslim organisation or any stakeholder before preparing the draft", he said. According to the sources in the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), the members fear that agreeing to any change on triple talaq would open floodgate of interference in other Sharia matters.
Naik further pointed out several Muslim-dominated countries like Pakistan have already banned the practice of triple talaq.
