Shimla: In a video grab gone viral, Congress leader and Himachal Pradesh firebrand legislator Asha Kumari is seen involved in a tiff with a woman constable and slapping her on Friday, as Congress president Rahul Gandhi was visiting the state. "The lady constable misbehaved with me, abused me and nearly beat me up, but I should not have lost my calm".
Asha Kumari said that the woman constable pushed her. Another legislator and former Cabinet Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was also accompanying Asha Kumari. Himachal DGP Somesh Goyal said that a complaint was received from the lady constable and the matter was being looked into after which appropriate action would be taken. "I am not happy at it".
The MLA was allegedly infuriated after she was denied by police officials to enter a review meeting chaired by Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
