Islamabad had earlier proposed that only Mr Jadhav's wife be allowed to meet him but New Delhi had requested that his mother too be allowed to accompany her daughter-in-law. "FGCM [Field General Court Martial] found Kulbhushan Sudhir Jadhav guilty of all the charges", the Pakistani military had said in a statement then.
The mother and wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav will meet him in Pakistan on December 25. "Pakistan Government has also assured that it would ensure safety, security and well-being of the wife and the mother during their stay in Pakistan and to allow a diplomat to accompany them", said MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar. "On this we asked Pakistan to give visa to the mother as well", he said.

In a major move described as a "positive development" and "good news" by New Delhi, Pakistan on Friday agreed to India's request to allow both the mother and wife of imprisoned former Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet him.
"We have sought consular access. We are happy that it has been considered and access is being given (to Jadhav)", he said at a press briefing.

Jadhav is at the heart of a dispute between India and Pakistan, which is now being played out at the International Court of Justice.
Jadhav was arrested by Pakistan on charges of espionage. His clemency plea is under consideration by the army chief at present.
This will be the first time that an Indian will be allowed to meet Mr Jadhav, 47, after his imprisonment in Pakistan past year.
