A diplomatic officer of the Indian High Commission will also accompany the wife and mother of Jadhav during the visit, Swaraj said.

Pawar said he and Kulbhushan's other friends would request Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to bring Jadhav back home at the earliest, he said.

"There would be a partition for security reasons", a Pakistan foreign ministry official said when asked whether the family members would be allowed to meet Jadhav personally.

He said the meeting was originally scheduled to last half an hour but was extended by another 10 minutes. A glass wall was put between Jadhav and the rest during the meeting. This was the first meeting between Jadhav, who was convicted of espionage in Pakistan, and his family, since his arrest on 3 March, 2016.

"Indian High Commissioner J.P Singh could only see but was not allowed to listen or speak during the meeting" said the spokesperson. TV footage showed a convoy of around seven vehicles escorting Jadhav's family in the city.

State Health Officials Say Flu Widespread
Health officials did not know if the child had underlying health issues or if the child was vaccinated for the flu this season. As I said, I didn't give it all that much thought in the past since it seems to be one of those unavoidable seasonal cycles.

India asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in May to restrict Pakistan from executing Jadhav, arguing he was denied diplomatic assistance during what it called an "unfair trial". He had added that Pakistan had allowed Jadhav's meeting with his mother and wife purely on "humanitarian grounds". It was not known where he had been kept before being transported to the ministry.

According to News 18, Jadhav would be meeting his family at the foreign office in Islamabad.

He also confessed to working for India's spy agency, saying he was tasked with orchestrating acts of terrorism in Pakistan. India had approached the International Court of Justice against his execution which was later halted by ICJ pending the final verdict.

India, however, maintains that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Indian Navy.
