Other more than respectable features include OZO spatial audio recording, USB Type-C connectivity, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader helping the Nokia 6 (2018) trim its forerunner's height, a 3000 mAh battery, and premium aluminum unibody construction. When Microsoft sold the brand off to HMD Global, however, the brand experienced a revival that has, thus far, been pretty successful. The front camera setup is also unchanged from the previous model - a 8MP f/2.0 shooter with an 84-degree wide-angle lens. The company is also using the same bold colour scheme around the camera module and the fingerprint scanner. The Nokia 6 comes with a near stock Android like experience and runs on Android Nougat 7.1 with an update to 8.0 Oreo in the pipeline. The Nokia 6 this year is practically a reboot and what last year's buyers should have been given in the first place. It features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1280 pixel) display with Corning Gorilla 3 sheathed on top.
Nokia 6 (2016) is already up for pre-order on Chinese website "Suning". The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery and can support fast charging tech, which is claimed to deliver up to 50% charge in 30 minutes.

HMD Global's Nokia has announced the successor to its popular mid-range offering - the Nokia 6 (2018). Instead, it features the same 16MP f/2.0 sensor found on its predecessor, with a 1.0μm pixel size, phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and a dual-tone LED flash module. The new Nokia 6 is now available for preorder for ¥1,499 in China (about $230) for the 32GB model, but there's no indication about if and when it will be released in other markets. Its actual launch is still a few days away, but the company is revealing enough to make buyers of the first gen Nokia 6 seethe in jealousy.
What has changed is the addition of Nokia's Dual-Sight technology which can capture images from both the primary and secondary camera at the same time. It is set to go on sale starting from January 10. We can also create the Bothie effect using both the front and back camera sensor. The smartphone will be available to the customers in India sometime soon.
