But know that these names can make an event like this sound more dramatic than it appears - it won't be anything like the total solar eclipse of 2017.
When is the next supermoon this year? To answer that question, we consulted the reference book Canon of Lunar Eclipses, 1500 B.C. - A.D.
Noah Petro - NASA When is the next supermoon?
The eclipse will take place during the middle of the night, and the Pacific Ocean will be turned toward the moon at the time. Astronomers have confirmed that the event shall start around 4:51 am PST near the Western Coast of the U.S. The darkest fragment of Earth's shadow created by the moon entering the umbra part shall happen at 4:08 a.m. EST. This occurrence on its own isn't almost as rare as the blue moon, supermoon, and lunar eclipse combination we'll see at the same time - rather, occurring around once every two and a half years. Moonset will intervene for the rest of North and Central America, however. Folks in the eastern United States, where the eclipse will be partial, will have to get up in the morning to see it...
Unless you are a regular moon-watcher, you may not notice anything different about this full moon.

A supermoon takes place when a full moon is at or near its closest point to Earth in its orbit. The moon will appear bigger and brighter in the sky. During this event, certain wavelengths of light from the sun pass through the Earth's atmosphere and reflect onto the moon, turning it a dramatic red colour.
During its orbit, it varies slightly closer (perigee) and farther (apogee) from Earth each month.
To add to the allure of the event, this blue supermoon will also be a red or "blood" moon. With that being said, the event is still very rare.
We kicked off the New Year with a "wolf full moon", named for the howled of wolves in winter.
Twice in 2018 the moon will "blush" in the sky as there will be two total eclipses of the Moon, one at the end of January and one at the end of July. The partial eclipse begins 11:48 Universal Time (UT), and the total eclipse begins at 12:52 UT and reaches it's maximum at 13:30 UT.

Record producer and Man of the Woods collaborator, Pharrell Williams also makes an appearance in the clip. Not sure...but in the trailer Pharrell says it "sounds so earthy".
How an global flight took off in 2018 and landed in 2017
Because Auckland is 23 hours ahead of Honolulu, the plane "time traveled" as it crossed the International Date Line. Passengers of HA446, a flight of Hawaiian Airlines, were amazed to know that plane flies them back into 2017.
