Criterion Games announced today that Burnout Paradise Remastered will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 18. Paradise was the last entry in the main series, with just one more Burnout title later released on mobile devices in 2010. In fact, we all suspected the reason the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise was delisted in January was because the rumoured remaster was on its way. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 16th. Pull off high-octane stunts and create insane auto destruction in one of the greatest arcade-driving games ever created. As is the case with EA games, EA Access members will get access to it prior to its worldwide launch, starting March 9. Although the remaster is coming first to consoles, both digitally and at retail, EA said it will later release a Windows PC version exclusively in its Origin store. But Electronic Arts soon moved Criterion Games over to work on the Need for Speed franchise, putting Burnout on the back burner. For the amount of content and the overall experience that Burnout Paradise has to offer, $39.99 is a steal especially since the graphics will be upgraded thanks to modern day technology. This pretty much confirms that Burnout Paradise is coming out next month, on the PS4 at least.
