Byrns is now being held for the F.B.I.at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
The girl's parents reported her as an endangered runaway around 10 a.m. Sunday.
An 11-year-old Orlando girl will be reunited with parents after a 24-year-old IL man who persuaded her to meet him and lured her into his vehicle was arrested in Macon, Ga., Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said Monday.
Byrns, pretending to be a girl in her young teens, began communicating with the victim after meeting her online through a PlayStation game, police said.
The Orange County, Florida sheriff calls this a disturbing case.
Byrns first made contact with the child through an online video game platform.

The TV station spoke with the girl's mother earlier on Sunday and she said her daughter had been in communication with a person online who lives in IL.
The girl was recovered and was held in a safe place until she could be reunited with her family.
Onvestigators say she and her suspected abductor, John Peter Byrns, were tracked down at a hotel near Macon, Georgia, on Sunday. He attended special education classes growing up and since has kept to himself.
"She's lucky to be alive", Demings said at a press conference Monday.
"We don't want this situation to repeat itself", Demings said. Byrns is in custody charged with kidnapping and may have additional charges.
