The plane was a Bombardier Dash 8, with license plate S2-, and 17 years.
The Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry said 25 Bangladeshi nationals were identified among the deceased.
The US-Bangla airliner had been expected to land at 2:20 p.m. local time, after a flight from Dhaka.
