In a statement issued by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in Abuja on Friday, the party maintained that the list put forward by the Federal Government as purported looters amounts to a cheap blackmail as none of those listed have been indicted or convicted by any court of competent jurisdiction or any panel of enquiry in our country.
Former PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, is also mentioned for allegedly collecting N1.4 billion also from the office of the NSA and the Chairman of DAAR Communications, Dr Raymond Dokpesi, is also mentioned for allegedly taking N2.1 billion from the office of the NSA too.
Mohammed said: "They are in court and the records are available".
"It is tragic that Asiwaju had to tutor his visitor, who had no policy direction since his election in 2015, by engaging in a revision of the programmes and policies of the PDP, such as the leasing system, the mortgage and pension schemes which boosted the economy and directly impacted on the lives of Nigerians".
He pointed out that the People Democratic Party was not sorry for impoverishing the country and perpetuating massive electoral fraud, but was in fact apologising to hoodwink Nigerians into getting them back into power.
However, the minister said that the above named looters were nothing, but a tip of the iceberg, adding that "we did not make these cases up".
Mohammed had on behalf of the federal government Friday listed the PDP boss as one of those who looted public treasury during the reign of the party.
