Iran's Revolutionary Guards vice commander has warned Israel that its airbases are "within reach" and Iran's "hands are on the trigger and missiles are ready".
Israel released details on Tuesday about what it described as an Iranian "air force" deployed in neighboring Syria, including civilian planes suspected of transferring arms, a signal that these could be attacked should tensions with Tehran escalate.
Israel has accused Iran of sending an armed drone into its airspace in February from the T4 airbase in Syria, to which it responded by bombing the base twice, reportedly.
Iran, Syria, Russia, and some United States officials have all said explicitly that Israel was responsible for the strike on Tiyas, also known as T-4.
14 fighters were killed in the strike, including Iranian forces.
Both Russia and the Syrian regime accused Israel of being behind the strike but the Israeli military has refused to confirm or deny its involvement, as is its practice with nearly all operations in Syria.
