Suicide bombers have killed at least 11 people and wounded 40 in attacks on Christians attending Sunday morning services at three churches in Indonesia's second-largest city of Surabaya, officials have said.
Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim country. Two people later died at a hospital.
Television footage appeared to show a motorcycle driving through the grounds of one church before a bomb went off.
"The husband drove vehicle, model Avanza, which contained explosives, and introduced him through front door of church", explained to journalists Spokesman of East Java Police, Frans Barung Mangera, at gates of police station in Surabaya.
The mother and her two daughters - aged 9 and 12 - had bombs strapped to them and blew themselves up at Diponegoro Indonesian Christian Church.
"The act of terrorism is really barbaric and beyond the limits of humanity that caused victims of community members, police officers, as well as innocent children including perpetrators who use two children aged about 10 years as suicide bombers", the President said.
"Recent (previous) attacks have been far less "professional"," Sidney Jones, an expert on Southeast Asian terrorism and director of the Jakarta-based Institute for Policy Analysis of Conflict, told AFP.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks, in a message carried on its Amaq news agency.
"One was found at the GKI and two more active bombs were found at the Pentecostal Church", he said. He said the victims included many worshipers who were entering and leaving the churches between services.
The attacks occurred within minutes of each other.

The group has not provided any proof to substantiate the claim, nor have any authorities or security sources yet verified its authenticity.

The police reportedly foiled bombing attempts targeting two other churches in the city, namely Saint Jacob's Church at Citraland housing complex in West Surabaya and Sacred Heart of Jesus (HKY) Cathedral on Jl.
Extremists have mounted a series of attacks against Christians and other minorities in recent years.
There are some 30 million Christians in Indonesia, while the majority of the country's population of 260 million are Muslim.
A spokesman for Indonesia's church association (PGI) called on the government for more help on security at churches.
The attack at the Catholic church was apparently a suicide bombing, he said.
The bombings were the worst to target churches in Indonesia since a series of attacks on Christmas Eve in 2000 killed 15 people and wounded almost 100.
