Ghana has chose to dissolve its national football association a day after officials, including the body's president, were shown in a documentary taking kickbacks. He is considered the second most powerful person in Ghanaian football.

Youth and Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah told KweséESPN that the dissolution means all football activity is on hold in the country.

The Ghana Football Association is being disbanded following the information brought forward by Anas Aremeyaw Anas' When Greed and Corruption Become the Norm, reportsBBC Africa.

The Ministry say they have been forced to act "as a result of the pervasive nature of the rot within the GFA" and that they have "taken immediate steps to have the GFA dissolved".
