Actress Emily Ratajkowski has confirmed she was arrested while protesting against the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court in Washington DC.

The United States Capitol Police told BuzzFeed that 293 people were arrested at the Hart building and another nine were arrested at a separate protest in the nearby Dirksen Senate Office building. The two famous ladies weren't the only ones to be arrested, they were among 300 other protestors who also got detained.

A procedural vote on Mr. Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court is set for Friday, with a confirmation vote expected the following day. "Men who hurt women can no longer be placed in positions of power", Ratajkowski tweeted.

They chanted "Kavanaugh has got to go".

It is uncertain if Schumer or any of the others she was arrested alongside remain in custody.
