Melania Trump bottle-fed baby orphaned elephants at a sanctuary in Kenya during the penultimate stop on her week-long tour to Africa.

She then took to the Nairobi National Park where she spotted rhino, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, zebra and other wildlife.

Melania Trump was greeted by a young girl and Gertrude Maseko, the first lady of Malawi, upon her arrival Thursday.

The overarching focus of her trip, according to the first lady's office, is health care for mothers and babies, children's education and US efforts to support African countries attain "self-reliance".

Mrs. Trump seemed reticent at first but she eventually stepped down from the platform she was standing on to take a large milk bottle with a big red nipple and feed some of the orphaned elephants being raised at the park a few miles outside of downtown Nairobi.

Her office has described the trip as a "showcase" for the work of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), even at a time when her husband's government is looking to slash US aid across the world.

"Meeting those children and understanding their different way of life is why I wanted to travel here", the first lady said.
